Internship Opportunities for AgroEcology Majors
Internships allow AgroEcology majors to get meaningful work experience that is tailored to our students’ individual career interests. Our majors have interned on farms, with seed and chemical companies, government agencies, and even done research in Latin America, Europe and Africa. AgEco requires two internships, which are normally completed by the 7th semester. Students work closely with their faculty advisors to ensure their internships are high quality learning experiences and stepping stones to their future careers. Many of our graduates make professional connections through their internships that have lead to their employment after graduation.
After completing their internships, students are required to write a report about their experiences. Reports are not just a test of students written communication skills, they are often reflection pieces where students are able to share what they learned and what their internship meant to them. Click here to read what our students have said about their experiences.
